The Cleaning Lady Common Sense Media TV Review In 2022

The Cleaning Lady” is a television series with high stakes and high emotional impact. A deportation threat and a precocious child with a deadly illness drive the plot. Elodie Yung’s character is a strong protagonist, and her relationship with Adan Canto is a highlight.

Drug And Gun Cartel

“The Cleaning Lady” is a new drama from Fox that stars Elodie Yung. Elodie Yung is a trained medical doctor from Cambodia. Her main goal in life is to provide treatment for her sick son. However, she soon finds herself witnessing crime on the job, and gets drawn into a drug and gun cartel. She ends up getting unexpected benefits from her involvement.

Elodie Yung is an undocumented immigrant from Cambodia who has been living in the United States for only a short time. She is a single mother and tries to make ends meet. She takes on odd jobs, including cleaning up a crime scene. Arman Morales, the owner of the crime scene, is fascinated with Thony, and hires her to help him.

One Note Performance

Elodie Yung is steely and scared but she plays her role with vulnerability and emotion. The chemistry between Elodie Yung and Adan Canto, who plays the mob handler, is compelling, and Yung’s role is not a one-note performance.

Elodie Yung’s Character

Based on the Argentine drama La chica limpia, “The Cleaning Lady” follows an immigrant doctor with a life-threatening immunodeficiency disorder. Her main goal is to help her son survive, but she ends up cleaning up murder scenes for the local crime boss, Arman Morales. This puts her into conflict with the crime boss, who has other plans for her.

Thony De La Rosa is an undocumented Cambodian immigrant living in California. She is a single mom and has a young son named Luca. She offers to help clean up the scene, but Arman Morales (Adan Canto) is hesitant to hire her. However, Thony is a fascinating character, and he ends up hiring her as a cleaning lady.

Designated Survivor

Adan Canto is no stranger to playing big, burly characters, so it is no surprise that FOX approached him for the leading role in “The Cleaning Lady.” Most recently, he wrapped up a three-season run as the villain in Designated Survivor.

This movie is a compelling character study about a single mother’s plight as she struggles to provide for her sick son. Thony, played by Elodie Yung, is an undocumented immigrant from Cambodia. Her primary goal is to get her son a bone marrow transplant to save his life. However, she witnesses a crime on the job and ends up being drawn into the criminal underworld’s clutches. She soon finds herself in the crosshairs of the FBI as she is caught between two criminals and their respective gangs.

Realistic And Relatable

Despite the cliches, “The Cleaning Lady” does not fall flat. The storyline is gritty and familiar, but Elodie Yung’s performance is excellent. The characters in this film are realistic and relatable, and the dialogue between the two leads is compelling and funny.

“The Cleaning Lady” premieres on FOX on Monday. It aims to be as cute as This Is Us, but as violent and disturbing as the FBI. It’s a bit too soapy and silly to make a meaningful series, but the acting is good. The show is a fun watch, but if you’re looking for a gripping series, you’re better off watching another series.

Recurring Role in the Fox Drama Series

Elodie Yung will star in a recurring role in the Fox drama series “The Cleaning Lady in 2022.” The show is based on an Argentinean drama of the same name and follows the life of a doctor who travels to the U.S. with her son Luca in search of medical treatment. Unfortunately, the system fails them and they end up becoming cleaning ladies for mobsters.

While “The Cleaning Lady” has a solid cast, the show’s premise is a bit generic and not very interesting. While Yung and Millan are both excellent and the series has some good moments, the criminal underworld storyline carries the show too much weight.

Final Thoughts:

Canto is another character who makes the show work. The actor previously played Halle Berry’s boyfriend on “Bruised.” In this series, he plays a ruthless killer with a darker heart than gold. His character is similar to Christian Gray in that he can kill someone, but still help his sick son.
